My name is Priyanka Goyal and I have a passion for crafting and drawing. These activities bring me great joy and fulfilment in my work.
As someone who is creatively inclined, I constantly strive to improve my work as a Product Designer. I find inspiration in the vastness of the universe and the beauty of nature, which is why I enjoy collecting various discarded items and transforming them into something beautiful.
People often ask me how I manage to create DIY interior pieces and paint while being a busy mom, taking care of household chores, and working a full-time job. Some might call it a hobby, and others may think it's madness, but I find it to be a fulfilling and enjoyable way to spend my free time.
With this article, I am sharing things I did to manage time to work on things I like, be an outstanding performer at my job and manage my home.
Simplify your daily routine by automating tasks. Although I don't recommend becoming a robot, adopting certain automated habits can help. For instance, my daily routine includes waking up, preparing breakfast and lunch, enjoying a detox drink, reading stories to my daughter, getting her ready, sending her off to school, 30 mins workout, taking a shower, having breakfast and starting work. My weekdays tend to look the same, but they help me complete my tasks without much thought and always be on schedule.
Incorporating these tasks as daily habits can assist you in beginning your day with efficiency, without feeling excessively fatigued or restless prior to starting your office work.
I find it helpful to follow the traditional approach to work. To begin my day at the office, I review my notes from the previous day and jot down the tasks I plan to tackle today. Even small tasks like "Wish Happy Birthday to Sam" are included. This 20-minute routine helps me work more efficiently without having to constantly recall my daily responsibilities.
Like anyone else, I sometimes experience panic when things don't go as planned. However, I have learned to adapt quickly instead of letting it affect my routine. One helpful tip that is often hard to remember at the moment is to simply accept the situation and take a deep breath. I make a conscious effort to avoid overthinking and adjust my priorities promptly when necessary.
Giving away unused items is my favourite thing to do! While many people enjoy collecting things, I find joy in sharing what I no longer need. By embracing minimalism, I am able to focus on personal growth and pursue the activities I enjoy most.
Sometimes even daily routines can become exhausting, but taking small breaks to meditate or engage in activities you enjoy can be helpful. Personally, I like to relax on the sofa after putting my daughter to bed and browse through Pinterest for a while or do some DIY interior pieces.
I hope these tips are useful for you. 💡 If you have discovered any other tricks that help you stay efficient throughout the day, please share them in the comments. 🙌
